APC NFL Picks, Week 5: Will returning players push Packers past Cowboys?

New, comments

Injured players look to return this week for Green Bay, but will it be enough in Dallas?

NFL: NFC Divisional-Green Bay Packers at Dallas Cowboys Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

The Green Bay Packers are looking healthier this week than they have been in recent weeks, and although there are still a few days to go before Sunday, Packers fans should be excited for the possibility of a mostly-healthy roster this week.

Accordingly, several APC writers are picking the Packers this week to go into Dallas and defeat the Cowboys. It’s hardly a unanimous decision, but it is the consensus pick, and if true it would keep the Packers in at least a tie for the NFC’s top spot at 4-1.

This week’s picks also have a season-low number of unanimous picks - only the Eagles over the Cardinals is a pick that all of us agree on this week.

Here are our selections for week five.

Week 4 was another rough one for our picks. Just four of our 14 contributors who made picks finished with 10 or more wins: Paul and Shawn went 11-5 while Mike and Zach were 10-6.

Overall, Jordan maintained his lead for the season despite a 9-7 record in week 4. His 0.667 pick rate leads everyone, followed closely by Kris at 0.651 and Jason at 0.635.
