For the fifth straight game, the Green Bay Packers must play without their preferred starters at offensive tackle. Blindside protector David Bakhtiari will miss his fourth straight game with a hamstring injury, though right tackle Bryan Bulaga will play despite dealing with an ankle issue. Meanwhile, wide receiver Davante Adams returns from the concussion he sustained last week.
Injuries have ravished the Packers all season, forcing them to play with numerous configurations along the offensive line. With Bakhtiari out last week, the team shifted left guard Lane Taylor out to tackle with Lucas Patrick coming in off the bench to fill in inside. They could do the same against the Dallas Cowboys or backup Justin McCray could start at left tackle.
The news for Adams comes as a positive development after a brutal hit to the head from Chicago Bears linebacker Danny Trevathan sent the wideout to the hospital. Adams bounced back quickly from the blow, however, practicing throughout the week and receiving medical clearance before game day.
Elsewhere on offense, starting running back Ty Montgomery will sit with broken ribs. Montgomery practiced with extra padding, but the coaching staff ultimately felt it smart not to expose him so soon after the injury.
