Packers CB Kevin King out for remainder of game vs. Dallas

Kevin King is in the concussion protocol and is OUT for the rest of the game

NFL: Green Bay Packers at Dallas Cowboys Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

Kevin King is out for the remainder of the game against Dallas with a concussion. The team announced his injury in the third quarter.

The Green Bay Packers cornerback was injured early on in the first quarter, along with S Kentrell Brice.

Originally tasked with the duty of shadowing Cowboys star receiver, Dez Bryant, King will sit out leaving the Packers defense to find another way to keep Bryant in check.

The Packers secondary has already experienced a combination of poor play and injury so it will be interesting to see how this defense responds. This may force some shuffling around and place Morgan Burnett back at his usual safety role despite him having success in the slot this season.

We’ve already seen Damarious Randall struggle early on one week removed from being benched and leaving the stadium. Look for Davon House to have a bigger role and step up to the challenge.

The Packers trail the Cowboys 21-15 midway through the third.
