The Mitchell Trubisky era begins tonight.
The Chicago Bears have made the switch at quarterback this week, after seeing Mike Glennon fall to pieces against the Green Bay Packers’ defense last Thursday night. Glennon’s four turnovers made the decision a must for John Fox and company, who now turn to the second overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
Trubisky gets a tall task in his first start tonight, however, drawing the Minnesota Vikings and Mike Zimmer’s defense. DVOA has not been too kind to that unit yet this year, as they rank 23rd against the pass, but they are the 8th-ranked run defense, which should give the Bears’ rushing attack a good challenge.
Meanwhile, Sam Bradford is expected to return for Minnesota after a three-game absence that saw the Vikings go 1-2 without him.
