Justin McCray has quickly filled in for Don Barclay as the Green Bay Packers’ jack-of-all-trades backup offensive lineman. McCray has made spot starts at both guard and right tackle, and the latter position is where he was expected to suit up on Sunday against the Chicago Bears.
That latest move into the starting lineup is the logical move, since starting right tackle Bryan Bulaga suffered a torn ACL in the team’s week nine game against the Detroit Lions. However, McCray suffered an injury of his own on the final play of that game, rolling his ankle. Now, he is questionable to play on Sunday.
McCray joins two other Packers with that designation, both backup linebackers. However, the Packers will be without a second starter in addition to Bulaga; strong safety Morgan Burnett was officially ruled out for Sunday’s game, along with reserve defensive lineman Quinton Dial.
Here’s the full injury report, with the Bears’ report yet to be announced.
