The Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Ravens have released their injury reports for Sunday’s game. As usual, the Packers’ report is more lengthy and serious than their opponents’ injury list, as the team has designated three starters and one critical backup as out for the week 11 matchup.
The Packers have not as yet sent Bryan Bulaga to injured reserve, and so he shows up as Out on today’s report. However, Jason Spriggs is now eligible to return from injured reserve, and so he may be called up into Bulaga’s place on the 53. If those matching transactions do happen, the Packers will still have 52 players on the roster, however, so stay tuned for any other moves this afternoon or on Saturday.
As expected, both injured running backs, Aaron Jones and Ty Montgomery, will be out on Sunday. That leaves the job in the hands of Jamaal Williams and Devante Mays, with a bit of Aaron Ripkowski and Randall Cobb likely sprinkled in for good measure.
Thankfully, cornerback Kevin King is listed as questionable after much was made of his shoulder injury this week. He was a limited participant throughout the week’s practice, but there appears to be a good chance that he suits up on Sunday. His speed will come in handy against the Ravens’ receivers, as both Jeremy Maclin and Mike Wallace still possess excellent speed.
Here are the full reports for this week.
Packers Injury Report
OUT
- OT Bryan Bulaga (knee)
- S Morgan Burnett (groin)
- RB Aaron Jones (knee)
- RB Ty Montgomery (ribs)
QUESTIONABLE
- OLB Ahmad Brooks (back)
- DT Quinton Dial (chest)
- CB Kevin King (shoulder)
- G Lucas Patrick (back)
Meanwhile, the Ravens will likely be without their starting left tackle, which should have Nick Perry salivating. Ronnie Stanley is going through the concussion protocol and has been a limited participant in practice all week; he is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game. James Hurst is Baltimore’s starting left guard but would be the likely fill-in for Stanley if he does miss the game, with one of two rookies — Jermaine Eluemenor or Maurquice Shakir — probably stepping in at guard.
The other big name on Baltimore’s report is cornerback Jimmy Smith, who has been one of the best players at his position in the NFL and is one of the most significant reasons why the Ravens’ pass defense has been exemplary this season. Smith did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday with an Achilles injury, but he is listed as Questionable after returning to practice on a limited basis on Friday.
If Smith cannot play, that would lead to an easier set of matchups for Brett Hundley and the Packers’ receivers.
