The Green Bay Packers get starting cornerback Kevin King back in the lineup for their Sunday night matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but outside linebacker Clay Matthews will miss the game with a groin injury.
King missed last week’s game against the Baltimore Ravens due to shoulder trouble, but the extra rest has allowed him to return to the field. That could prove a critical addition given the Steelers’ cavalcade of talented pass catchers headlined by All-Pro wideout Antonio Brown.
Matthews suffered his groin injury early during last week’s game and did not return. It remains unclear how much time he could miss, though his absence will negatively affect Green Bay’s defense which has struggled to generate pressure most of the season. With Matthews out, rookie Vince Biegel could see an uptick in snaps.
