On this Thursday evening, a pair of NFC East teams who are hovering near .500 take the field in a battle to determine which team will still be effectively in the NFC playoff race.

Washington and Dallas both sit at 5-6, tied with the Green Bay Packers in the NFC. Packers fans should probably cheer for a Dallas victory, since the Packers have the head-to-head tiebreaker via their win over the Cowboys earlier this season. That would make for an easier time into the playoffs should the Packers find a way to win out the rest of the way.
