Week 14 NFL Picks: APC believes in the Packers to win in Cleveland

We’re still confident in the Packers to pick up a win over the league’s worst team today.

Only three-point favorites against an 0-12 team on the road?

That should be no problem for the Green Bay Packers, according to Acme Packing Company’s writers this week. Of our thirteen writers submitting picks for this week, twelve are picking the Packers to win the game and improve their record to 7-6.

Should they do that, Aaron Rodgers should have a scan on his broken collarbone this week to determine if he would be ready to return for next week’s game against the Carolina Panthers.

Of course, this game will be no easy challenge. The Packers have still struggled to find a passing game with Brett Hundley under center, instead having their most success when the ground game is functioning. The Browns, however, have one of the better run defenses in the NFL, a unit that is in fact ranked first in the league by DVOA.

However, Cleveland’s defense will be missing one of its top run-stuffers, nose tackle Danny Shelton, who is inactive for Sunday’s game. And in addition, the Browns have given up over 100 rushing yards in three of the last four games, averaging 122 rushing yards allowed per game in that span.
