Tonight, the AFC East crown can be decided. The New England Patriots can clinch the division with a win. If they do so, that would make them the second team to lock in a playoff berth for 2017, joining the Philadelphia Eagles (who locked up the NFC East on Sunday).
Standing in their way are the Miami Dolphins, who are still alive in the race for a Wild Card in the AFC. However, Miami can effectively give up on any chance of making the postseason if they lose tonight.
The Dolphins have had a poor record of late against the Patriots, however. Miami has won just one of the past six games between these two teams, with New England earning a comfortable 35-17 victory in the two teams’ most recent game. Oddly, however, that game was just two weeks ago, as the two division rivals meet for the second time in 15 days.
Join us for tonight’s game as we follow along.
