Packers injury report: Nick Perry could return, but Davon House is out vs. Panthers

The Packers need a boost from their pass rush to compensate for the injuries in their secondary.

The Green Bay Packers' secondary will play shorthanded again this week, but the pass rush could receive a needed boost from the return of outside linebacker Nick Perry. On Friday, the team declared starting cornerback Davon House out against the Carolina Panthers and listed Perry as questionable to play.

House managed to play a week ago despite a badly hurt shoulder but dropped out midway through the game due to a back injury. That injury -- reportedly a transverse process fracture -- could cost the veteran corner multiple games but not necessarily the rest of the regular season.

Meanwhile, Perry participated in a limited capacity each of the past few days after missing all of the previous week. His return could help mitigate the injury-riddled secondary, especially considering the Panthers will play without starting guard Trai Turner. Even if Perry can't return, the Packers will have Ahmad Brooks and Quinton Dial back in the fold.
