The Green Bay Packers got some good news and bad news on the injury front on Sunday morning, as the team announced its inactive players for their game against the Carolina Panthers.
The Packers’ front seven will be at full strength today — or at least will have a full complement of players. That will be essential for the defense, as they will face a talented and productive rushing attack. Outside linebacker Nick Perry and inside linebacker Jake Ryan were both questionable for the game, but both will suit up this afternoon.
Less promising are the continued injury problems in the secondary. Cornerback Davon House was ruled out on Friday, but Demetri Goodson showed up on the inactive list this morning as well. That will leave the Packers with Damarious Randall and Josh Hawkins as their starting cornerbacks, with Lenzy Pipkins and Donatello Brown in reserve. Expect safety Morgan Burnett to line up in the slot today as well.
The Panthers will be missing a pair of offensive linemen, guard Trai Turner and reserve center/guard Tyler Larsen, as well as starting linebacker Shaq Thompson.
