Ready for some mostly meaningless football?
That’s okay; neither are we. It takes some getting used to when your team doesn’t have a playoff spot on the line for the first time in nine years. But here we are, getting ready to watch the Green Bay Packers play for pride against the Minnesota Vikings.
This is the second straight season the two teams have met on Saturday of week 16 at Lambeau Field, as the Packers won on Christmas Eve a year ago. They will of course be hoping for a similar result, but without Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams, it will be a tall task.
The Packers will be starting Brett Hundley at quarterback for the eighth time this season, as the third-year quarterback faces the Vikings, the same team against which he got his first extended playing time. That of course came when Anthony Barr broke Rodgers’ collarbone back in week six of this season.
