The Green Bay Packers’ active gameday roster is here for the season finale against the Detroit Lions, and there are several key starters missing from the group of 46 who will suit up today. The Packers ruled a number of notable players out on Friday’s injury report, but one of the team’s starters who was listed as questionable is out as well.
That player is cornerback Damarious Randall, who has had an excellent second half of the 2017 season. Randall missed last Saturday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings as well, his first missed game of the year. This contest will be his second, and it will leave the Packers with Davon House, Josh Hawkins, and Lenzy Pipkins as the players likely to make contributions at corner today.
One other questionable player is Clay Matthews, and he will be active this afternoon. Matthews’ fellow starter, Nick Perry, was placed on injured reserve on Saturday, and his snaps will go to some combination of Ahmad Brooks, Kyler Fackrell, Vince Biegel, and Reggie Gilbert.
The Packers’ receiving corps did get a bit of a boost with the inactives report, however; Geronimo Allison was not practicing all week due to an illness, but he will play today. That will presumably make him a starter on the outside, with Randall Cobb in the slot and Michael Clark, Trevor Davis, and Jeff Janis rotating at the opposite boundary position.
Here is the full inactive list for today’s game.
