Packers at the Scouting Combine: Tight End Jared Cook lit up in 2009

Years later, Richard Rodgers was unimpressive in his Combine and Beau Sandland came in somewhere in the middle.

As we continue to look back at the Green Bay Packers players’ performances at their respective NFL Scouting Combines, we turn our attention over to the tight ends. The Green Bay Packers currently have three tight ends on their 90-man roster, two of whom ended the 2016 season on the 53-man roster. One of them, Jared Cook, put up a Scouting Combine for the ages during his draft season of 2009, as he proved to be an elite athlete at the position.

Cook scored the top mark among tight ends in three different Combine drills that year, blowing away the competition in the vertical jump — his 41” vertical was 7.5” higher than any other tight end that season.
