It’s still May, and the Green Bay Packers have only had one Organized Team Activities practice to this point, but one of the team’s players is pumped up about this year’s squad.
Last season, wide receiver Davante Adams had a breakout year, catching 75 passes for 997 yards and 12 touchdowns in his third NFL campaign. Adams was the team’s second-leading receiver and is growing into more of a leadership role on the roster.
On Monday afternoon, Adams took to Twitter to express his excitement over the first formal practice of spring:
OTA #1 in the books!! Boys look like some savages today uh ohhhh

Of course, Mike Daniels saw this and decided to have a little fun, suggesting that he was the reason for Adams’ impressions:

Adams wasn’t the only one excited to be back on the practice field, however, as second-year cornerback Josh Hawkins weighed in:
First day of OTAs felt great. #GoPackGo

Packers fans will have their first chance to see the team Tuesday, as the squad suits up for an open OTA practice at 11:30 AM. Fans will be able to watch from the fence at Ray Nitschke Field.
