On Monday morning, news broke that Ahman Green, former Green Bay Packers running back, had landed in jail. The Green Bay Press-Gazette first reported on the situation, which follows an incident that apparently took place late Sunday night.
As Monday has gone on, more details of the situation have come to light. The Wisconsin Circuit Court Access system lists Green as being charged with two counts: child abuse-intentionally causing harm/cruelty towards a child, a class H felony, and disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor.
Green Bay television station WLUK has obtained a copy of the criminal complaint against Green, and a few excerpts are below:
Criminal complaint states Green hit his daughter, upset that she refused to do chores like put away dishes.

This is a deeply disappointing situation, especially in light of previous issues Green has had with domestic violence. He was charged in 2006 with misdemeanor disorderly conduct, domestic abuse; however, the charges in that case were dismissed just before court proceedings were scheduled to begin.
