It’s been a bit of a running joke lately at APC to dig into the Aaron Rodgers vs. Tom Brady comparisons, and today we’ll add a little more fuel onto that fire.
Well, we won’t; we’ll let former Green Bay Packers wide receiver James Jones do it for us. Check out this video of him taking Rodgers’ side and explaining to NFL Network’s resident goofball Heath Evans why Rodgers is the superior player:

(Thanks to @ParkerMoes for putting the video up on Twitter)
Evans’ attempts at countering Jones are pretty silly. The best is when he mentions the Packers playing in the same division as the Detroit Lions, who have made the playoffs three of the last six years. Apparently he conveniently forgot that the three AFC East teams not named the Patriots have a total of one playoff appearance in that same time span.
The debate itself is silly. Let’s enjoy watching both players for what they are. But for everything that Greg Jennings was to the Packers organization after he left, James Jones is the opposite, building up his former teammates and defending them against criticism. Never change, hoodie.
