The Green Bay Packers haven’t made it through the first defensive series of the preseason, and already the team has seen a significant player go down with an injury. After a three-and-out by Brett Hundley and the Packers’ offense, the defense took the field against Carson Wentz and the Philadelphia Eagles’ offense.
Just a few plays in, however, the injury bug struck. Cornerback Damarious Randall, who has been playing primarily the “star” slot corner position in training camp, was carted off the field to the locker room.
It appeared that Randall was injured on a running play when he took a big hit on a crack-back block by an Eagles wide receiver. Here’s a look at the play:

This is concerning for Randall, who missed several games last season with a groin injury. Even after he returned to the field, Randall was visibly limited throughout the remainder of the season before having surgery after the Packers were bounced out of the playoffs.
Stay tuned for more updates on Randall as they come in.
UPDATE: The Packers announced that Randall is being evaluated for a concussion.
