Packers training camp practice news & live updates for August 15

The Packers return to Ray Nitschke Field for an open practice today.

For the first time after the team’s preseason opener last Thursday, the Green Bay Packers will practice in front of the public on Tuesday afternoon in a session starting at 12:15 PM.

Tuesday’s practice will be the first of two open practices this week, with the second coming on Wednesday. The team will be off on Thursday before holding a walkthrough on Friday for Saturday’s preseason game in Washington.

The team did practice in a closed manner on Sunday, and was happy to welcome tight end Richard Rodgers back to the field. The fourth-year player has a broken fingertip, but told the media that he practiced with a split on his finger but essentially without limitation. Keep an eye out for #82 on the field today, and watch to see if any of the other injured Packers — cornerback Davon House among them — end up back on the field.

As always, stay up to date with the news and events from practice here as the team continues preparing for the season and for Saturday’s game.
