On Tuesday, the Green Bay Packers held their first of two open practices this week, and they got some more bad news on the injury front.
Ty Montgomery was held out of practice entirely with an unspecified soft-tissue injury to one of his legs, though he was seen watching from the sideline throughout practice. Then, during practice, rookie safety Josh Jones twisted his ankle and eventually left the field on a cart.
Here’s hoping that Wednesday’s session will be less eventful from an injury perspective. However, in terms of the drills and actual on-field work, it should be more eventful; head coach Mike McCarthy said that this will be one of the longest practices in training camp, and that it will likely last nearly all of the three-hour maximum allowed by the NFL’s collective bargaining agreement.
Practice begins at 11:45 AM central time, so keep your internet machines locked here as we follow along throughout the next three hours or so.
