It’s here - the Green Bay Packers’ second preseason game has arrived, kicking off at 7:30 PM Eastern time from just outside of Washington, D.C.
Tonight’s game is the second straight exhibition contest against an NFC East opponent, coming nine days after the Packers beat the Philadelphia Eagles 24-9. Aaron Rodgers and Jordy Nelson sat out that game, and are expected to do so once again tonight — that means that the dynamic duo will almost certainly see game action just once in the preseason, in next Saturday’s game in Denver.
Meanwhile, there are plenty of questions that need answers up and down the Packers’ roster. The cornerbacks group will look for some continuity with a few veterans not playing due to injury, while Ty Montgomery’s expected absence will mean that Jamaal Williams and a host of rookie ball-carriers will get a longer look. The backup quarterback and wide receiver battles will also be fun to watch as well, and we have a list of a few key bubble players to keep an eye on here.
