It is about time for the final open practice of the summer for the Green Bay Packers. Today at 11:45 AM, the team heads out onto Ray Nitschke Field for the last time this year, practicing in front of fans and the media once more before its final preseason game against the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday night.
With today’s practice comes questions about the team’s depth at outside linebacker. Free agent Ahmad Brooks is in town for a visit today, but the biggest questions revolve around the health and availability of a quartet of edge rushers: starters Clay Matthews and Nick Perry plus backups Jayrone Elliott and Vince Biegel.
Biegel continues to try to come back from foot surgery, as his recovery from that procedure landed him on the PUP list. This week is probably his last chance to be cleared - if he is not, there’s a chance he could end up on the regular season PUP, which would cause him to miss the first six games of the season.
Check out practice here, as we follow along with a live practice thread for the final time this season.
