Packers Training Camp Practice News & Updates for August 3rd

The first evening practice of the year is here!

NFL: Green Bay Packers-Training Camp Jim Matthews-USA TODAY NETWORK

With their five early-morning practices now in the rear-view mirror, the Green Bay Packers will take on a new schedule for the next few days, practicing in the evenings today. All four of the Packers’ preseason games kick off in the evening, along with five regular season games that are currently scheduled for night-time starts.

Of a more immediate concern is Family Night, scheduled for Saturday evening at Lambeau Field, and it’s that event that is presumably at the top of head coach Mike McCarthy’s mind as his team starts practice at 6:15 PM Central today.

Tonight, practice will be up against the first NFL game of the season, the Hall of Fame Game. Furthermore, the Packers announced this afternoon that the team will be practicing inside the Don Hutson Center due to inclement weather. That does not affect our practice updates thread, however, as we bring you news and reports from the Packers media, who will be inside following along.

Follow along and join your fellow Packers fans in the comments below (unless you’re watching the Hall of Fame Game tonight - in which case, bounce over into that thread instead when it goes live).
