Packers Training Camp practice news & updates for August 7th

Mason Crosby will look to get back on track on Monday after a rough Family Night.

With Family Night now in the rear-view mirror, the Green Bay Packers are moving on to the next significant step of training camp: preseason games. They begin this year’s preseason with a home game, as they play the Eagles at Lambeau Field in both teams’ preseason opener this Thursday evening.

Today, the Packers take the field for their first mid-day practice of camp, a 12:15 PM start. They will follow that up with another mid-day public practice on Tuesday before working through their pre-game walkthrough on Wednesday that is closed to fans and the media.

One player who will be looking for a bounce-back performance today is kicker Mason Crosby, who struggled mightily on Family Night. Crosby made just five of eleven field goal attempts, as the new pair of Derek Hart (long-snapper) and Justin Vogel (holder) continue to work out the kinks with the veteran kicker.
