Going into week one of the 2017 NFL season, the Green Bay Packers sat around hte bubble of the top five in most NFL power rankings. Following their 17-9 victory over the Seattle Seahawks — another top-five contender — the Packers are on their way up in most pundits’ estimation.
With that victory, the Packers vaulted all the way up to first place in a pair of rankings lists, while they claim the second spot in a pair of others. Here’s a look at where they stand, according to a few different websites:
ESPN: 2nd place
CBS: 1st place
Yahoo!: 2nd place
NFL.com: 1st place
Both sites that put the Packers in second have them behind only the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittsburgh defeated divisional rival Cleveland on the road on Sunday, but only by three points at a score of 21-18.
Meanwhile, NFL.com has the Packers ahead of the second-place Kansas City Chiefs, with the Steelers way back in eighth place. CBS sees a #1 and #2 matchup on Sunday, however, with the Packers traveling to Atlanta to play the second-place Falcons on Sunday night.
