Last year’s NFC Wild Card teams square off tonight.

NFL: Detroit Lions at New York Giants Noah K. Murray-USA TODAY Sports

On Monday Night Football this week, the NFL’s week two schedule comes to a close with an NFC matchup. The conference’s two wild-card teams from last season square off in a battle of blue-clad squads.

Last season, the Lions and Giants met in New Jersey in week 15, with the Lions holding a 9-4 record and a two-game lead on the Packers in the NFC North. The G-Men won that game, while the Lions fell the following week to the Dallas Cowboys and in week 17 to the Packers for the division crown.

Green Bay Packers fans should be full-throated in their support of the Giants this evening. Here is your primer and game thread for tonight’s game.
