The Green Bay Packers are a banged-up team leading up to their Thursday Night game against the Chicago Bears in week four, but there was actually some good news to be found on the injury report on Tuesday.
Based on today’s injury report and comments from head coach Mike McCarthy, there is only one player who can reasonably be ruled out for Thursday night’s game. McCarthy noted in his Tuesday press conference that with the team holding an extremely light practice, anyone who could not at least be a limited participant would be “hard-pressed” to play on Thursday.
Thus, we can assume that Davon House, as the only player showing up in the “Did Not Participate” category, will be out when the two teams kick off two days from now.
However, both starting offensive tackles showed up with a limited designation. Given that the Packers’ primary backup tackle, Kyle Murphy, was placed on injured reserve, the need for those two starters to return is critical. Joining them at limited was defensive tackle Mike Daniels.
However, the other players on the list all practiced fully, a good sign that the team should have the services of starters like Nick Perry, Ty Montgomery, and Randall Cobb.
Here’s the list from Tuesday.
DID NOT PARTICIPATE
- CB Davon House (quad)
- OT David Bakhtiari (hamstring)
- OT Bryan Bulaga (ankle)
- DT Mike Daniels (hip)
- S Kentrell Brice (groin)
- WR Randall Cobb (chest)
- DT Quinton Dial (chest)
- RB Ty Montgomery (wrist)
- OLB Nick Perry (hand)
- ILB Jake Ryan (hamstring/concussion)
