Packers vs. Bears Inactives: Tackles and Mike Daniels out, but Nick Perry returns

New, comments

Thankfully, one of the Packers’ key injured players is back tonight.

As expected, the Green Bay Packers will be relying on their sixth and seventh options at offensive tackle tonight.

The Packers announced their inactive list for Thursday night’s game against the Chicago Bears about 90 minutes prior to kickoff, and the two doubtful starting tackles — David Bakhtiari and Bryan Bulaga — are both among the seven players not dressing for tonight’s game. With those two out, the Packers will likely start some combination of Adam Pankey and Justin McCray at tackle.

Thankfully, the Packers did have a tiny bit of good news on the defensive side of the football. One of the two players listed as questionable on Wednesday’s injury report will dress tonight, as outside linebacker Nick Perry is back from hand surgery. However, the Packers will not have the services of defensive tackle Mike Daniels, who remains out with a hip injury. Daniels, of course, is the anchor of the defensive line, while Perry is the team’s most well-rounded edge rusher and is known for setting the edge well in the run game.

Stay tuned for more updates from APC.
