College Football Week 2 Schedule: Ohio State-Oklahoma headlines

New, comments

In a week that features four top-25 matchups, a top-five clash dominates the schedule.

NCAA Football: Ohio State at Oklahoma Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

For the second time in the first two (real) weeks of the college football schedule, fans across the country will get to see a matchup of teams in the top five of the initial polls. Last week, #1 Alabama wore down #3 Florida State on Saturday night, but this week it is #2 Ohio State facing off against #5 Oklahoma in the top prime-time matchup.

These two teams play in Columbus tonight in the second game of a home-and-home series. Last year’s game saw the Buckeyes’ explosive offense and opportunistic secondary take control early as they went on to a dominating 45-24 victory.

Meanwhile, three other games pit ranked teams against one another, and all kick off within a span of 90 minutes. It should be a fun evening to flip through channels, so settle in and join us in our CFB discussion thread here on the eve of the first NFL Sunday of the year.
