Although days one and two of the NFL Draft have the biggest names and some of the biggest drama, the third day features the most action, with picks and trades flying in quickly throughout Saturday afternoon. The picks come in no more than five minutes apart all day today, as teams run through four rounds over the course of a few hours.
The Green Bay Packers still have questions to answer about their offense, having spent each of their three picks in the first two days on defense. Pass-rush also needs to be addressed, as the team focused heavily on the coverage side early on in this year’s draft with cornerbacks Jaire Alexander and Josh Jackson as well as athletic linebacker Oren Burks.
Saturday also ends up featuring some interesting or absurd pick announcements. Among those that should be more entertaining are a parrot delivering the card with a Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ selection, youth football teams across the country announcing picks, and the U.S. Men’s Curling Team (minus Packers fan Matt Hamilton) announcing Minnesota Vikings’ picks from the St. Paul Curling Club. Click here for a handful of the highlights of these special pick announcements.
