David Bakhtiari is a two-time All-Pro, but only has one Pro Bowl appearance.
That’s the situation for the Green Bay Packers’ left tackle, who had another outstanding year protecting the blind side of his quarterbacks. Bakhtiari was named the second-team All-Pro left tackle by the Associated Press, coming in behind only Andrew Whitworth of the Los Angeles Rams. Bakhtiari earned second-team honors for the 2016 season as well.
Whitworth himself was snubbed for the Pro Bowl as well, as the tackles representing the NFC — Tyron Smith, Trent Williams, and Lane Johnson — got a combined six votes, while Whitworth received 24 and Bakhtiari finished with ten.
Meanwhile, Bakhtiari was every bit deserving of the honor. Pro Football Focus named him their first-team All-Pro after they credited him with allowing just 12 quarterback pressures in 12 games.
Bakhtiari himself had a bit of a sense of humor about the situation:
Hell yeah! Now it’s official. 1x pro bowler. 2x all pro. Doubt anyone can do that again. https://t.co/ISg1bZpVNH

Technically, he is a Pro Bowl alternate, and there is still a chance that he could be added to the game’s roster due to injuries. Smith and Williams are both on injured reserve, so it would make sense that he and Whitworth might be the next two up.
