New, comments

A whole bunch of starters for both teams are questionable on the final injury report of Week 6.

Fans of both the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers should keep a close eye out for the teams’ inactive reports on Monday evening as the two teams determine their active gameday rosters for their week six game. Each team listed at least eight players on their injury reports on Saturday, with the Packers having eight and the Niners nine.

Both teams have multiple wide receivers and offensive linemen on their reports, making the offensive personnel the big questions. For the Packers, wide receivers Geronimo Allison and Randall Cobb are both listed as questionable to play. Their respective hamstring injuries kept them both as limited participants in practice all week (Allison passed the concussion protocol prior to Thursday’s practice) and they may suit up on Monday. If they do so, the Packers’ rookie wide receivers should see their roles cut back drastically from the hefty snap counts they received in Detroit a week ago.

Joining those two players with questionable designations are offensive tackles Bryan Bulaga and Jason Spriggs, who both dropped out of Friday’s practice with leg injuries — Bulaga’s a knee and Spriggs’ an ankle. Bulaga was projected to be a limited participant on Saturday had the Packers practiced, while Spriggs was estimated to be out. That suggests that Bulaga would be the more likely of the two to play on Monday night.

Meanwhile, San Francisco has key players all across their offense in question. Rookie wide receiver Dante Pettis is out, while backup Trent Taylor is doubtful and starter Pierre Garcon is questionable. Joining Garcon with questionable tags are a trio of starting offensive linemen: center Weston Richburg, right guard Mike Person, and left tackle Joe Staley, along with co-starting running back Matt Breida and first-string tight end George Kittle.

Keep an eye out about 90 minutes prior to kickoff on Monday night to see which of these key players is active.
