APC Week 7 NFL Picks: Vikings & Bears likely to flip positions in NFC North

A Bears loss and Vikings win would have them swap spots in the standings.

As the Green Bay Packers sit idle this week along with three other NFL teams, the other 28 are in action, including each of the other three squads in the NFC North. Each of those teams squares off against a squad from the AFC East, with all three opponents holding records of .500 or better.

Those three games are Patriots at Bears, Vikings at Jets, and Lions at Dolphins, and the APC writers are projecting only the Vikings to be victorious this week. If those results hold up as expected, that would jump Minnesota from up a tie for second place in the NFC North (technically behind the Packers on tiebreakers at present) up into the lead at 4-2-1, with the Bears falling back to 3-3 and into third place behind Green Bay. The 2-3 Lions could reach .500 with a victory, but we don’t see it happening down in South Florida on Sunday.

Here’s a look at all of APC’s predictions for this week’s games.

In week six, five writers led the way with 11-4 records: Tex, Peter, Matub, Mike, and Paul. That helped Peter and Matub climb into a tie for the lead overall at 59-32-2, one game ahead of Jason and Bob. Jon Meerdink ranks fifth, three games off the lead.
