NFL Week 8 Sunday Schedule: NFC contenders take center stage in Saints-Vikings

Happy Sunday, football fans! It’s a great Sunday — not only do we have football all day long thanks to another game in London this morning, but we get four of the NFC’s top six teams fighting for early playoff positioning. One of those games is the afternoon tilt between our Green Bay Packers and the Los Angeles Rams, pitting Aaron Rodgers against Aaron Donald and company.

The Sunday night matchup is juicy, however, and one team will be looking for revenge for a devastating and shocking loss in last year’s Divisional playoffs. The New Orleans Saints are back in Minnesota to play the Vikings, doing so at the site of last year’s miracle play that sent the Vikes to the NFC Championship. (Of course, they got slaughtered by the Philadelphia Eagles 38-7 when they got there.)

Can the Saints exact some revenge, get a big tiebreaker win, and open up some space on the Vikings for the #2 seed in the NFC? Or will the Vikings claw into a virtual tie with New Orleans in the race for a first-round bye?
