When all seemed on the verge of collapse for the Green Bay Packers, the team’s three best skill position players stepped up on a pair of critical plays to get the team in the end zone and keep them close against the Los Angeles Rams.
Facing a third-and-nine from their own 26-yard line, Aaron Rodgers gave wide receiver Davante Adams a hand signal before the snap. Adams ran a deep post against cornerback Marcus Peters, easily beating him off the line and hauling in Rodgers’ pass for a huge 41-yard gain.
Following an incompletion on the next play, running back Aaron Jones found paydirt. At the Rams’ 33, Jones took a delayed handoff up the middle, read Corey Linsley’s block on linebacker Cory Littleton, and burst up between the hash marks, running untouched to the end zone.

The touchdown brought the Packers back within a field goal, cutting the Rams’ lead to 23-20 just before the end of the third quarter. Jones now has 11 carries for 82 yards and a touchdown on the day.
