Packers rule out WR Randall Cobb for Sunday’s game vs. Lions

Cobb hasn’t practiced since injuring a hamstring last week.

The Packers have ruled out wide receiver Randall Cobb for Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions.

Cobb injured a hamstring in practice leading up to last Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills and didn’t practice this week, making this revelation somewhat unsurprising.

They may also be without both Davante Adams and Geronimo Allison on Sunday. Adams didn’t participate in practice on Thursday but is on track to practice Saturday after injurying a calf in practice earlier this week.

Allison remains in the concussion protocol after a hard hit in last weekend’s game.

The Packers will likely lean heavily on rookie receivers Marquez Valdes-Scantling, J’Mon Moore, and Equanimeous St. Brown in addition to tight end Jimmy Graham as they try to field a full receiving corps this week.
