The Green Bay Packers haven’t quite returned to the top 10 of SB Nation’s weekly NFL power rankings, but they have made a meaningful step in that direction following their win over the Miami Dolphins. Heading into Week 11, the Packers rank 12th overall, an improvement of three spots from a week ago.
Sunday’s 31-12 win over the Dolphins certainly doesn’t appear as impressive as other performances this week, but it represents an important step for a Green Bay team that hasn’t delivered a double-digit victory since September. Miami’s myriad injuries certainly helped, but the Packers took an early lead in the game and never relinquished it.
As for the rest of the NFC North, the Packers still trail the Chicago Bears (No. 7 in this week’s power rankings) and the Minnesota Vikings (No. 11). The Bears and Vikings will face off this Sunday, providing some clarity within the division. Meanwhile, the Detroit Lions continue to languish in the bottom 10, coming in at No. 24.
The rest of the internet appears to have reached a consensus on the Packers this week. Three major outlets -- ESPN, NFL.com, and Yahoo Sports -- ranked the team 11th after the Miami win. USA Today didn’t fall far from the pack, placing Green Bay at No. 13.
