Packers DT Mike Daniels injures foot, out of game against Seahawks

The Packers’ veteran lineman is banged up and might not return tonight.

One of the biggest parts of the Green Bay Packers’ defense — both literally and figuratively — has left the playing field. Defensive tackle Mike Daniels injured his foot in the third quarter of Thursday night’s game against the Seattle Seahawks and is officially questionable to return.

Daniels was spotted on camera walking gingerly off the field.

The Packers’ top three-technique tackle has not missed a game this season, but he did miss some time in the preseason with a quad injury. So far this season, Daniels has a pair of sacks and 17 total tackles, but his impact often does not show up big in the stat sheet. Still, he is consistently occupying multiple blockers and allowing the rest of the defense to rack up the tackles.

Daniels is the fourth Packers player to leave the game with an injury on Thursday night. Safety Raven Greene has been ruled out with an ankle injury, while tight end Jimmy Graham and cornerback Bashaud Breeland are both questionable with injuries of their own.

UPDATE: Daniels has officially been ruled out for the remainder of the game.
