All three other NFC North fan bases see the Packers as their teams’ biggest rival

Packers fans could only pick one, but they’re clearly #1 in the minds of the rest of the division.

On Monday, we revealed that SB Nation’s FanPulse surveys showed the Chicago Bears as being the Green Bay Packers’ biggest rivals. That survey came from a multitude of APC readers, but readers of each SB Nation NFL team blog had their own opinions.

As it turns out, all three of the other NFC North blogs voted the Packers as their team’s biggest rivals. Take a look at the results below:

Windy City Gridiron (Bears): Packers 84%, Vikings 16%
Daily Norseman (Vikings): Packers 69%, Saints 16%, Bears 15%
Pride of Detroit (Lions): Packers 71%, Bears 23%, Vikings 5%, Cowboys 2%

In addition, a handful of other team blogs gave the Packers some votes, though none of them picked Green Bay as their number one option. Here are the results from those other teams:

Blogging the Boys (Cowboys): Eagles 83%, Washington 18%, Packers 13%, Giants 6%
Niners Nation (49ers): Rams 45%, Seahawks 45%, Cowboys 8%, Packers 2%
Field Gulls (Seahawks): Rams 80%, 49ers 14%, Packers 6%

Interestingly, the Packers were ranked higher than a divisional opponent in each of those three cases. Two of them are in the NFC West, where the Cardinals apparently don’t inspire much ire or rivalry. Perhaps that is due to the Cardinals moving to that division from the NFC East back in 2002.

With this in mind, we want to know you would consider the Packers’ greatest rival outside the NFC North? Let us know in the poll and the comments below.
