The Battle for Ohio isn’t quite as exciting lately as Packers vs. Vikings, and it certainly has less of an impact on the playoff race. Still, today’s Browns-Bengals game should be somewhat interesting for NFL fans, as Hue Jackson — now an assistant for Cincinnati — takes on his former team.
Baker Mayfield has played better since Jackson’s firing, with five touchdowns and just one interception in the team’s two games since that took place. Prior to last week’s bye, Cleveland beat the Falcons 28-16 and Mayfield completed 17 of 20 passes for 216 yards and three scores.
Meanwhile, the big game of the afternoon is Pittsburgh-Denver, which would have been a great matchup a few years ago. Given the dearth of exciting games on the Sunday schedule, it’s no surprise that Packers-Vikings remained in the Sunday night timeslot. After all, that game should have a huge impact on the NFC Wild Card race, with the added impact of virtually eliminating the loser from the chase for the NFC North title.
Here’s your schedule for Sunday’s games, and be sure to join us for tonight’s game between Green Bay and MInnesota.
