Packers vs. Vikings, Week 12 2018: First half game updates & discussion

Join us for a big NFC North matchup in Prime Time.

NFL: Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings Green Bay Press Gazette-USA TODAY Sports

The Green Bay Packers have a do-or-die matchup this evening in Minnesota, as they play the Vikings in a battle for second place in the NFC North and solid positioning for a Wild Card berth in the NFC. The 4-5-1 Packers and 5-4-1 Vikings tied back in week two, which makes this game a critical tiebreaker that could determine the teams’ standing at the end of the year.

The Packers are again down to a young and thin group of corners tonight, however, hardly an ideal situation against a Vikings team that features two excellent wide receivers in Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs. Thielen is banged up, but should still be a tough matchup against either Jaire Alexander or Josh Jackson. Having both Bashaud Breeland and Kevin King out for tonight’s game will make it a difficult challenge for Packers defensive coordinator Mike Pettine.

Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers remains without one of his veteran receivers, as Randall Cobb sits once again. Jimmy Graham will play tonight despite a broken thumb, but to what extent? Tune in here for the first half of tonight’s game and Go Pack Go!
