With the Green Bay Packers struggling to get anything going on offense, the last thing they needed was an injury to an offensive lineman.
Right tackle Bryan Bulaga injured his right knee in the second quarter against the New England Patriots and is questionable to return per the Packers. Jason Spriggs is now in at right tackle.
Bulaga was receiving treatment on the sideline but ending up limping to the locker room. It is not clear which play Bulaga was injured on.
This is clearly bad news for Bulaga who has played through some kind of injury for most of the season and has played well in his comeback from last season’s torn ACL. It’s obviously too early to diagnose this most recent injury to Bulaga but the talent drop off from him to Spriggs is pretty big. Bulaga was having all he could handle against the New England defensive line so Spriggs could definitely be in some trouble.
Hopefully the veteran from Iowa will be back on the field sooner than later.
UPDATE: Bulaga was downgraded to out for the remainder of the game during the break at halftime.
