It’s Sunday afternoon, and it’s time for the Green Bay Packers to get back in the win column. After a brutal 1-4 stretch through the five-week span that everyone expected to be difficult, the Packers sit at 4-6-1 and cannot afford another loss between now and the end of the regular season.

Not if they hope to make the playoffs, anyway, which is as always the team’s goal. Today they get an ideal opportunity to start off a hot streak, however, as they face the 2-9 Arizona Cardinals. Under first-year head coach Steve Wilks and rookie quarterback Josh Rosen, Arizona is one of the worst teams in the NFL in most notable stats, ranking last in scoring and 26th in points allowed.

Interestingly, Football Outsiders’ DVOA numbers actually like the Cardinals defense, ranking them tenth overall and ninth against the pass. That is likely due in large part to a strong pass rush, led by Chandler Jones and his 11 sacks, and All-Pro cornerback Patrick Peterson. The Packers should try to attack the middle of the field against Arizona, however, as the Cardinals rank 30th on defending passes over the middle.
