The Green Bay Packers got some discouraging news early this week on the offensive line, as backup tackle Jason Spriggs was placed in the concussion protocol following last week’s loss in Chicago. However, the team did get some fortunate news on that front, as starter Bryan Bulaga is returning to action this week.
Bulaga will start at right tackle, returning from a torn MCL after a two-week layoff. That means the team should have their four best starters on the line, with David Bakhtiari, Lane Taylor, and Corey Linsley all good to go. Look for Lucas Patrick to join the group once again at right guard as well.
Meanwhile, the Packers continued to deactivate a few intriguing young players on gameday despite them being on the 53-man roster. Perhaps most notable among that group is outside linebacker Kendall Donnerson, a seventh-round draft pick from this spring. The team will suit up only three edge rushers for yet another game today rather than giving Donnerson a chance to put his tremendous athletic abilities to use in game action.
Finally, the Packers made one roster move on Saturday, promoting running back Lavon Coleman to the active roster from the practice squad. That gives the team three running backs for today’s game, with Coleman and recent addition Kapri Bibbs backing up Jamaal Williams.
Here’s the list of inactive players for the Packers for today’s game against the New York Jets.
