Monday Night Football, Week 16: AFC West bottom-feeders play on Christmas Eve

Aside from deciding some fantasy football championships, there probably aren’t many other reasons to tune in for tonight’s game.

NFL: Denver Broncos at Oakland Raiders Neville E. Guard-USA TODAY Sports

Christmas Eve is here, and the gift-giver that is the NFL’s schedule-making computer program has provided a less-than-thrilling matchup for casual NFL fans. Tonight’s game features an AFC West rivalry, but between the two teams that have already been eliminated from the postseason.

The Oakland Raiders are in transition, with Jon Gruden in the process of remaking the roster and the team with his own vision. Meanwhile, the Denver Broncos need to win two more games to make it to .500 on the season after a rough 2018 under second-year head coach Vance Joseph.

Many fantasy football titles may hang in the balance, however, at least in leagues that have their championships in week 16. Tune in for tonight’s game to find out how week 16 concludes.
