On Saturday at the NFL Scouting Combine, an intriguing prospect with a great story and connection to the Green Bay Packers spoke to the media. That prospect is Kahlil McKenzie, a defensive tackle from the University of Tennessee, and his last name should be familiar to Packers fans.
That is because he is the son of former Packers personnel executive Reggie McKenzie, who is now the general manager of the Oakland Raiders. The younger McKenzie grew up in the shadow of Lambeau Field with Packers players around to help mentor and guide him throughout his youth. He played a few years of high school football for former Packers linebacker Bryce Paup at Green Bay Southwest High School before moving to California with his family when Reggie took the Raiders job.
McKenzie discussed his family, his upbringing, his memories of growing up in Green Bay, and much more in his media interview. Enjoy!
