Will the Packers trade up?

NFL: Combine Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

Happy NFL Draft Day, Packers fans!

All the mock drafts, all the big boards and the seemingly endless round of predictions come to an end tonight as teams make picks that can either save a franchise or doom one to mediocrity. The draft is the ultimate crapshoot, and no one will really be able to tell how his class went until at least 2021.

As for the Green Bay Packers, they are still slated to pick 14th overall tonight as of the time this was published but that could all change with the flurry of trade rumors.

With the draft slated to start in less than 12 hours from now, who will the Packers select and where? That’s the intrigue that will keep cheeseheads glued to their televisions and computer screens tonight.

There are countless mock drafts out there and there is nowhere near a consensus pick on who Green Bay will select. There is so much instability in the top ten this year that it has made any type of accurate prediction a true fool’s errand. The only thing that seems certain is that the Packers will likely target a cornerback or maybe an edge rusher should the board fall that way.

Buckle up, Packers fans. It’s going to be a fun night.

Now onto today’s cheese curds.

Packers could join in first round trade frenzy—PackersNews.com

Eight first round trades? Yikes. The Packers could be in prime position if one of the quarterbacks fall, but they also might move up if there is a big run on quarterbacks early.

Here’s a nice recap of several mock drafts and as you can see, there is consensus on positions just not on the player.

The soon-to-be Pro Football Hall of Famer will be followed in the third round by….Brad Jones?! He might get more boos from Packers fans than Roger Goodell.

Picture perfect, right down to the jorts. Whether you love Mayfield or hate him, you have to admit his tribute to his childhood hero is a classic.
