For the first time since the calendar switched over to 2018, the Green Bay Packers are taking the field in front of fans today. It’s the first public practice of the year, in the second day of Organized Team Activities, and the team is scheduled to take the field at 11:30 AM local time.
Every part of the team has undergone significant changes this offseason, from the roster to the coaching staff to the front office. A new general manager, a pair of new coordinators, and a host of new faces on the team will get their first chance to make an impression in front of the public today.
Granted, practice is in helmets and shorts, and there’s no contact allowed, so we won’t really get to see the players in the trenches getting down and dirty. However, the Packers’ new receivers — three draft picks as well as tight end Jimmy Graham — should have some chances to start building a rapport with Aaron Rodgers on the field.
Follow along here for updates from Packers media members in attendance at practice and enjoy the afternoon.
