After three straight days of practice to open their 2018 training camp, the Green Bay Packers got a day off from on-field work on Sunday to rest and recuperate. Today, however, it’s back to work on the practice field as the team resumes their work in front of fans.
In fact, the Packers will practice five out of the next six days, including Saturday’s Family Night Scrimmage at Lambeau Field. Wednesday is the only off day as the players get their only full week of practice without an actual game on the schedule. Today’s practice session starts at 11:15 AM.
That first game will come a week from Thursday, as the Packers host the Tennessee Titans in the teams’ preseason opener. Seven open practices and likely a closed session still lay between the team and its first competitive setting against another franchise this summer.
For now, we will continue to bring you news from Ray Nitschke Field (or the Don Hutson Center in case of inclement weather) as the team continues to work gradually towards the start of the 2018 season.
